Live Review, In-depth Interpretation of DALI Technology by R&D Director of BOKE Power: From Standard Evolution to Future Innovation
At 8 p.m. on August 25th, the technology salon live broadcast jointly created by “Lao Hong’s Discussion on Lighting” and the DALI Alliance China Focus Group (CFG) arrived as scheduled. Mr. Li Jinbiao, the R&D director of Guangdong BOKE Power Co., Ltd. and the leader of the DALI Alliance China CFG Technology Group, was invited to be one of the guests. Together with Dr. Huang Feng, the chairman of the DALI Alliance China CFG, they brought a deep sharing on DALI technology to thousands of industry colleagues online. The content of this sharing ranged from the technological development of DALI to the current wireless innovation, and from standard setting to scene implementation. This live broadcast has become an important window to decode the development of intelligent lighting technology.
In this live broadcast, General Manager Li comprehensively sorted out the core advantages and development context of DALI technology, systematically presented the key milestones in its technological evolution, and deeply interpreted the latest progress of relevant technical specifications and standards. He also shared the new generation of technological developments that will be launched between Q4 of 2025 and 2026, bringing highly valuable reference information to the industry. When looking back on the development history of DALI technology, General Manager Li especially emphasized the fundamental role played by standard construction. He pointed out that the reason why DALI can become the common language in the global intelligent lighting field lies in its adherence to an open and collaborative standard system – this not only promotes technological compatibility and industrial collaboration, but also illuminates the way forward for us.
BOKE has been a member of the DALI Alliance (DALI-AG) since 2013, which is a two-way achievement that has lasted for 12 years. Through participating in standard setting, independent product innovation and large-scale production, it has become one of the domestic enterprises that earlier invested in the R&D and sales of DALI products. After the DALI-2 certification program was officially launched in 2017, BOKE took the lead in launching a series of DALI-2 certified driver products and completely stopped selling DALI-1 products. Through this closed loop of “standard co-construction → technical reserve → product implementation”, BOKE has become both a co-builder and a beneficiary, and has been able to quickly launch a full range of adapted products during the period of rapid development and application of DALI from 2017 to 2025.
This live broadcast is not only a technical sharing, but also a concentrated display of BOKE Power’s R&D strength in the DALI field. General Manager Li revealed that by 2025, BOKE has launched products including DT6, DT8, D4i, etc. At the same time, it is also a core advocate and promoter of DALI+ wireless technology. BOKE’s DALI+ driver obtained DALI+ certification in 2024, making it the first enterprise in China (the second in the world) to obtain DALI+ certification. BOKE will, as always, maintain close cooperation with the DALI Alliance, continue to work hard in line with the company’s development concept, and bring better high-quality DALI products to users.
